Akn Technolgy Bhd - Article Entitled "AKN May Give Up Plan To List Unit"

We refer to the above article in relation to the following matters:-

(i) AKN Technology Bhd ("AKN") may abandon the proposed listing of Paramount Discovery Group ("PDG") on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST")("the Proposed Listing"); and
(ii) AKN is exploring the sale of PDG

The Company wishes to clarify that it had earlier considered and explored the Proposed Listing of PDG on the SGX-ST in Singapore, of which the same has been announced to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") on 18 July 2007 (Announcement Reference No. OD-070718-64487). Pursuant to the said announcement, the Proposed Listing is both to raise funds for PDG to finance its overseas expansion plan as well as to un-lock the value of AKN's investment.

At this junction, the Company has yet to finalize its plan to un-lock the value of AKN's investment and upon finalization, the Company will make appropriate announcement to Bursa Securities to comply with the relevant provisions of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.
